This is Classic* to me.

 

I created and completed this ad almost 25 years ago as a junior Art Director at BBDP/Houston – learning at every turn under the guidance of my Creative Director at the time, Richard Hicks, helping me ‘discover’ every step of the way. Not forgetting the solid and simple headline from Richard Campbell too.

 

But the REAL reason that this design is one of my Classics is because of another great Account Executive, John Deltatto who was able to get a printed copy signed by both Mario Andretti and Christian Fittipaldi, the night before the first Formula 1 race in downtown Houston.
